Finalists include a Noongar culture conservationist, a public safety expert, a man helping migrants settle, artists shining a light on disability and diversity and the founder of an initiative giving haircuts to the homeless.

Emeritus Professor, Chemmangot Nayar, was a 2021 finalist for WA Australian of the Year, for his pioneering research in clean energy.

Auspire is pleased to get behind the “Be a Vocal Local” campaign to encourage engagement with the Local Government elections and to help promote participation and nominations from all members of the community to ensure our local communities  have strong, diverse and inclusive representation that reflect the local communities being served.

Auspire is proud to support the Office of Multicultural Interests’ (OMI) Leadership and Governance Program, which seeks to encourage greater representation of people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds on public, not-for-profit and private sector boards and committees.

Aboriginal Elder Dr Robert Isaacs AM OAM, CM, JP, PHD (Hon) presented the 2021 Nulungu Reconciliation lecture on 26 August, held each year by Notre Dame University.

Auspire hosted 2021 Australian of the Year Grace Tame in Perth in June. Focussing on core barriers, which need to be addressed nationally. Grace is using her voice to influence legal reform and improve education.t

Auspire is the newest partner of the Human Rights Commission’s campaign, Racism. It stops with me.

Auspire is proud to deliver a never-before-seen experience of an immersive storytelling light show in Elizabeth Quay as the cornerstone event for the City’s Australia Day Festival.

The Australian National Anthem is a song we will be hearing and singing a lot more in the coming days, as local communities around the country come together to reflect, respect and celebrate our national identity on Australia Day.

In recognition of NAIDOC Week 2020 Auspire – Australia Day Council WA presented Aboriginal Cultural Awareness and Understanding workshops. The sessions catered to over 100 participants over the course of the day, where they learned about the impact colonisation has had on aboriginal people and the ongoing affects of intergenerational trauma on the aboriginal community. 

In order for Auspire to continue to deliver quality events, forums and capacity building workshops, we will be required to record all in-person attendees at our events. We too will be using the safe WA system as it is the most efficient and safe way to record your contact details when you check-in, using the app.
