Aussie of the Month
Supporting the education curriculum in our primary schools by promoting life skills, community contribution, inclusion, harmony and good civics and citizenship.
Aussie of the Month is a student recognition program provided free to primary schools, so that they can recognise and celebrate the Australian values of fair go, mateship, respect and inclusion within their students.
The younger sibling to the Australian of the Year Awards, Aussie of the Month aims to encourage an appreciation of the diversity and depth of personal community contribution and achievement possible within schools by primary aged students, and bring about increased concern and consideration for all members of the school community.
Many schools have successfully integrated Aussie of the Month into their civics curriculum by using the program to generate discussion about participation and involvement outside of the school community.
