Western Australians have a proud history of being names Australian of the Year across the four categories, and in this 60th anniversary year of the awards, we hope to have at least one more. Nominations are now open.
A Happiness Collaboration
This week we are highlighting one of our corporate partners StudyPerth and the work of WA 2020 Local Hero Finalist, Julian Pace. The two have teamed up to support the mental health and wellbeing of International Students via a new online webinar series called The Happiness Corner.

Over a 45 minute ‘lunch break’ session our four highly respected Aboriginal Community Leaders discussed the theme of ‘In This Together’, and shared stories, thoughts and ideals on what Reconciliation, Culture, Understanding and Acknowledgement means to them, which was followed by a group discussion and Q&A session.

Aussie of the Month impresses Governor General on Australian Citizenship Day
To coincide with Australian Citizenship Day, South Newman Primary School and Auspire hosted Their Excellencies, The Governor-General and Mrs Hurley to officiate over a Citizenship Ceremony for 18 new Aussies and help launch Aussie of the Month, as the school acknowledged their first Aussie of the Month recipient.
