Auspire says goodbye to long-serving General Manager
After 15 years in various roles at Auspire – Australia Day Council WA, Anne-Marie Farley has turned on her out of office for the final time as General Manager – Programs.
During her tenure, Anne-Marie celebrated with 240 WA Australian of the Year Awards Alumni, forging relationships and creating close connections. She has been vital in growing the Australia Day Community Citizen of the Year Awards to become a local council must-have for events, and for many years was the driving force behind our primary school recognition program Aussie of the Month, which started in Western Australia in the late 1990s and has now grown to be in every State and Territory, with more than 400,000 students exposed to the program.
As the face and voice that many who have been involved with Auspire would have often seen and heard, she has epitomised the values and vision of this organisation. For the last 15 years, to know Auspire is to know Anne-Marie Farley.
Anne-Marie bowed out in style, with her last act of service being the WA 2023 Australian of the Year Awards ceremony on Monday 14 November.
Whilst retiring from her role here at Auspire, Anne-Marie has plans to take on part-time voluntary work with causes close to her heart.
