Auspire launches Aboriginal Cultural Awareness training.

  • 10 August 2019

In celebration of NAIDOC Week, Auspire collaborated with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry to deliver an Aboriginal Cultural knowledge and understanding half day workshop with its members, staff and a number of Auspire Ambassasdors.

The interactive session was engaging and inspiring and participants learned about Aboriginal culture and to better understand the impacts of colonisation that still play out today with our First Nations Peoples and mainstream Australia.

The workshop was facilitated by the respected and well-known Noongar man and traditional custodian of Whadjuk Country Mr. Danny Ford. Danny has strong connections to the wider Noongar Country and Aboriginal communities across Western Australia.

Aboriginal Cultural Awareness and Knowledge training is a new initiative now being offered by Auspire and directly supports its strategy to build social and cultural inclusion so that all Australians feel a deeper sense of belonging. CEO Morgen Lewis says, that by providing insight and understanding in this space, Auspire can help to break down some of the myths, which also put up barriers to social cohesion.

If you or your organisation wants to explore this training, Auspire is now taking bookings. Enquire here
