Inclusion and representation championed at Diversity and Innovation Techfest 2025

Approximately 200 people from more than 25 nationalities attended Diversity and Innovation Techfest 2025, to explore and celebrate entrepreneurs who are leading the way in sustainable and inclusive business.

The highly stimulating event, held on 20 March inside the Perth Town Hall, brought together trailblazers and innovators from culturally diverse backgrounds to foster connections, share insights and discuss strategies.

Led by event emcee, Auspire CEO Morgen Lewis, the day featured inspiring keynotes from industry leaders including Dr Eunice Sari of Marginpreneur, 2015 WA Australian of the Year, Professor Lyn Beazley AO, and Camilla Galbraith from the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation.

Coinciding with the month of International Women’s Day, panel discussions highlighted the power and strength of diverse women in shaping Australia’s future and leading industry transformation at the forefront, with insights from Ministerial Multicultural Advisory Council WA Member, Karla Benitez MPA; Sobia Shah from Professional Migrant Women Network; Sisonke Msimang from Centre for Stories; and Liz Blaxell from the Centre for Entrepreneurial Research and Innovation, to name a few.

With further workshops and networking also featuring throughout the day, Diversity and Innovation Techfest 2025 proved itself to be the leading event where change makers come together to embrace diversity, make change happen and transform the business landscape for the better.
