Ambassadors Launch Community Citizen of the Year Awards

Auspire is thrilled to have two of our newest Ambassadors help us launch the call for nominations for the prestigious Community Citizen of the Year Awards presented throughout Western Australia on Australia Day.

Thanks to the support of Nine Perth, Tracy Vo from 9News and Steve Mills from 6PR Breakfast will feature in this year’s promotional call for nominations and encourage Western Australians to nominate people or groups from their community who epitomise active citizenship and Australian spirit.
Auspire’s Chief Executive Officer, Ms Morgen Lewis said “We’re delighted to have Steve and Tracy recognise the significance of the these awards and look forward to their further involvement in joining our team of Ambassadors in sharing our message of Reflect, Respect, Celebrate in the lead up to Australia Day 2021”.
“Over 220 awards were presented on Australia Day in 2020 by local councils throughout WA and we think that our community members who have given so much during this difficult year should receive a well-deserved pat on the back” said Ms Lewis.

The four nomination categories are:
• Community Citizen of the Year Award
• Community Citizen of the Year Award (Senior) for a person over 65 years
• Community Citizen of the Year Award (Youth) for a person under 25 years
• Active Citizenship Award for a community group or event

The Governor of WA is the Patron of these esteemed awards which are designed to recognise local residents who demonstrate active citizenship and qualities of leadership, inspiration and community participation, resulting in enhanced community life.
