Volunteer Week Morning Tea
Auspire has enjoyed the long standing association with the McCusker Centre for Citizenship and benefited from so many great students over the years. Our most recent voluntary intern, Olivia Dorn’s enthusiasm and level of engagement was outstanding and extremely professional, we have all enjoyed you being apart of Team Auspire.
Auspire has a strategic alliance with Volunteering WA and is keenly aware of the value of volunteers – they give their time to make our communities great. We recognise them through our award programs, nationally in the Australian of the Year Awards, statewide via Community Citizen of the Year Awards and by encouraging our youngest citizens through Aussie of the Month in almost 700 primary schools to be good community citizens.
We are eternally grateful to our volunteers at Auspire including our Ambassadors who travel to local communities throughout the year to share their stories, welcome new citizens and inspire community engagement. They also feature at our civics and citizens workshops and forums for culturally and linguistically diverse community groups to help participants understand how to engage fully in community life by seeking opportunities to volunteer.
This volunteer week, we ask you all to invite your volunteers to take a bow. They truly are the backbone of our communities using their skills and experience in a positive way.
