Developing Community Leaders Initiative

  • 20 June 2019

The Developing Community Leaders Initiative, coordinated by the Edmund Rice Centre WA and supported by the WA Police Force, has been developing young people, predominantly from CaLD and other disadvantaged backgrounds, into strong community leaders with an active presence within their own communities and the wider Australian community.

Expanding their involvement in social, civic and economic life the program has provided structured training, employment, education, and professional development opportunities to help young people take the lead in initiating and contributing to community programs and initiatives.

Through this initiative, opportunities have been catered to the development of the individual where participants receive regular mentoring to help with their personal and professional development.
