Aussie of the Month in Full Swing
With the return to school this week, Auspire is excited to announce that throughout Australia, we now have over 600 schools participating in the Program.
Aussie of the Month supports the education curriculum in our primary schools by promoting life skills, community contribution, inclusion, harmony and good civics and citizenship.
Aussie of the Month is a primary school recognition program which has been in operation for over twenty years. The program recognises personal endeavour, achievement and contribution to the community and reflects some of the values we share, such as fair go, mateship, respect and inclusion.
It is based on similar principles and values as the Australian of the Year Awards which profiles leading citizens who are role models for us all and recognises those who inspire us through their achievements and community participation, and challenge us to make our own contribution to the community.
Aussie of the Month aims to encourage an appreciation of the diversity and depth of personal contribution and achievement possible within a school and bring about increased concern and consideration for all members of the school community.
