Auspire welcomes Chevron Australia as National Diversity and Inclusion Partner for Australian of the Year Awards

Auspire is delighted to announce a new corporate partnership with Chevron Australia as the National Diversity and Inclusion Partner for the Australian of the Year Awards.

For 60 years, the Australian of the Year Awards have celebrated the achievements and contributions of Australians who inspire us and challenge us to also make a positive difference in the lives of others. The Awards celebrate the diverse and inclusive nature of our national identity and encourage active, engaged citizenship across all sectors of our society.

Previous recipients of Australian of the Year Awards have included scientists and artists, doctors and researchers, businesspeople and volunteers, athletes and advocates, mums, dads, daughters and sons. They are Australians from different backgrounds, cultures and life stages. Quite simply ordinary people doing extraordinary things.

Chevron is one of the world’s leading integrated energy companies and has been a part of the Australian community for more than 60 years placing great importance on community engagement and playing a significant role in our economy.

Morgen Lewis, Chief Executive Officer at Auspire said the strategic alignment in brand belief was clear, Chevron’s Human Energy and Auspire’s Inspiring Australians had a really good fit.

“Our people are our greatest resource and stories about human ingenuity, creativity, innovation, passion and purpose; which are attributes solving today’s biggest challenges, while anticipating those on the horizon, should be shared and celebrated” she said.

As National Diversity and Inclusion Partner for the Australian of the Year Awards, Chevron Australia will also support other initiatives Auspire delivers throughout the year designed to inspire and promote universal Australian values such as inclusion, fair-go and resilience, whilst fostering unity and connecting people of all ages and backgrounds.

Chevron Australia Managing Director Al Williams said the partnership was an opportunity to highlight the imperative of diversity and inclusion to our business and society.
“Our national partnership with the Australian of the Year Awards and Auspire, aligns with our diversity and inclusion value where we seek to learn from and respect the cultures in which we live and operate,” he said.

The Australian of the Year Awards provide everyone with the opportunity to recognise any Australian who makes them proud and who they believe could be a role model for us all.
