23 January 2024: Aboriginal Cultural Awareness Workshop

23 January @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

Aboriginal Cultural Awareness Workshop

A 4-hour workshop to gain an awareness and understanding of the culture, history and experiences of Australia’s First Peoples. In the lead-up to Australia Day – an important time of learning and discussion within a culturally safe and inclusive framework – you will have the opportunity to have your questions answered.

Presented by Auspire – Australia Day Council WA and facilitated by a First Nations’ educator, this workshop explores the values and belief systems of Aboriginal people, and discusses the impacts of colonisation and how these still play out today.

This session is ideal for individuals and teams starting out their Aboriginal Cultural Competency journey, to facilitate real and lasting change through changed attitudes and behaviours at both a professional and personal level.

Workshop participants receive a free training booklet, a certificate of participation and a resources list to help continue their journey.

Tickets available from just $130.
