What is Social Inclusion?
Social Inclusion is about promoting policy and capacity building for an inclusive society, in which every individual has an active role to play. Social Inclusion in grounded in the fundamental values of equity, equality, social justice, and freedoms, as well as on the principles of tolerance and embracing diversity.
Our Community Initiatives
Our social inclusion initiatives range from community and school leadership forums through to capacity building workshops, Cultural Competency and Diversity training.
We recently hosted a community forum, in partnership with the Centre for Social impact and Australian Post, as part of its Inclusive Australia strategy, attended by over 200 members of the community.
If you are interested in participating in our next community forum to explore, discuss and share social inclusion strategies and solutions for your community or workplace contact us today.
The workshop provide attendees the opportunity to learn and adapt; to recognise what others are doing and how they can replicate into their own actions; to build confidence and have a sense of belonging.
On Friday 29 June, you are invited to join in the Walk for Reconciliation. This free community event welcomes people from all cultures and countries, so come along and share in this wonderful experience and show solidarity to the reconciliation movement.
You can make a difference by participating in Lifeline’s Out of the Shadows' national suicide prevention walks held to coincide with World Suicide Prevention Day, September 10 every year. Join Lifeline and walk to raise awareness, remember those lost to suicide and unite in a commitment to prevent further deaths by suicide.
