Harmony Week
Harmony Week celebrates Australia’s cultural diversity. It’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone. In Western Australia Harmony week runs every year and is an opportunity for all Western Australians to celebrate our vibrant multicultural State.
The week runs from 15–21 March and encourages everyone to experience, explore and appreciate WA’s wealth of cultural, religious, linguistic and ethnic diversity. There are many ways we can celebrate during the week and on Harmony Day- through sport, dance, art, film, music, storytelling, cooking and sharing cultural meals.
By participating in Harmony Week activities, we can learn and understand how all Australians from diverse backgrounds equally belong to this nation and make it a better place.

Reconciliation Week
National Reconciliation Week was initiated in 1996 by Reconciliation Australia to celebrate our First Australians’ history and culture and foster reconciliation discussion and activities. It is celebrated by communities, businesses and individuals at thousands of events across Australia and is a great opportunity to explore how each of us can contribute to reconciliation.
Reconciliation Week is celebrated across Australia each year between 27 May and 3 June. These dates commemorate two significant milestones in the reconciliation journey—the anniversaries of the successful 1967 referendum, and the High Court Mabo decision.
There are many ways to get involved during Reconciliation Week. You’ll find event ideas, toolkits and other useful information here.
