SUMMARY:Wishing for Memories Book Launch
DESCRIPTION:On Sunday 29 March\, Forget-Me-Not Dementia Support is hosting a book launch for Wishing for Memories – a collection of individual wishes and life stories from people living with dementia. \nThe stories have been collected at Forget-Me-Not Cafes throughout Western Australia\, founded by Angi McCluskey in 2017. Each one is written in the person’s own words as a celebration of their life\, now all joined together by the common thread of dementia. \nThe book launch is a free event\, but registration is essential for venue requirements. \nFor her support of people living with dementia and their families\, Angi was a WA Senior finalist in the 2025 Australian of the Year Awards\, and soon became an Auspire Ambassador. \nRegister Here

SUMMARY:Is our economy working for us? Diversification and a Wellbeing Economy for WA
DESCRIPTION:The UWA Public Policy Institute\, The Next Economy\, and Good Together invite you to a timely and thought-provoking discussion on WA’s economic future. \nAfter decades of prosperity built on WA’s ‘mining state’ model\, this event will offer critical reflection and discussion on economic diversification and the case for a wellbeing economy. \nExplore how WA can decarbonise\, de-risk\, and diversify its economy in ways that go beyond greener mining and exports. What would diversification look like if the wellbeing of people and planet was our ultimate goal? And how can we move from decades of talk to meaningful\, rapid action? \nFeaturing a keynote lecture from Katherine Trebeck\, political economist and founder of the global Wellbeing Economy Alliance\, this event will examine how a wellbeing economy lens can reshape WA’s diversification agenda — unlocking opportunities for fairness\, sustainability\, and resilience. \nRegistration is free but essential here.
