Mandurah Longest Australia Day Weekend

Mandurah Alive! Respect. Reflect. Celebrate. We’re all part of the story.

A spectacular water show will come alive in Mandjar Bay with a display of fountains, lasers, water screens and projections. This show will be a feature across the Australia Day long weekend, telling the meaningful story of Mandurah from the indigenous Bindjareb people through to modern multi-cultural Mandurah communicated through water, projection, lights and audio.

Top of the Terrace Summer Bash 3.0

On 23 January, the annual Summer Bash is back  from 2pm-7pm along with pop up bars and a solo acoustic stage from 2pm until late. Friends and families can also enjoy this take on backyard cricket outside of the licensed areas with mini cricket wickets set up across the Eastern Foreshore all afternoon. Info at


Mandurah’s Aussie Motor Muster

Also on 23 January, as we reflect on Australia’s unique history of motor vehicles, this car display will showcase some great Australian vehicles throughout history. Combining vintage vehicles. 12pm at the Eastern Foreshore. Info at


Guided Cultural & Heritage Walking Tours

This Australia Day Weekend take a guided heritage walking tour in Mandurah and learn the history of Mandurah’s pioneer settlers and an accurate portrayal of life as it once was. The informative narration will showcase the past, the present, Mandurah’s indigenous cultural history, places of interest, pioneer families, their homes and their stories. Tours will commence from 23 January to 24 January and depart from the Mandurah Museum. Bookings through Visit Mandurah. Info at


Musical Reflections in the Marina

Located at the Keith Holmes Reserve on 24 January from 3PM-8.30PM.

Musical Reflections in the Marina will showcase a mix of genres softly carried throughout Mandurah’s waterways. An afternoon blend of jazz, swing, and string instruments creating a range of pop, rock and edgy ministry of sound beats will provide an afternoon experience for the whole family.

The highlight of the evening will see the stage transform into a spectacular orchestral performance for the whole family. Info at


Great Aussie BBQ

No Australia Day Celebration is complete without a Great Aussie BBQ.

Join us and fellow West Aussie’s on the Western Foreshore to reflect on the year that’s been, share stories, build connections and celebrate what it means to be Australian. The afternoon will be full of great food and fun with an assortment of BBQ food options available, carnival rides, amusements and more. Our world class skatepark will showcase demonstrations by pro skaters, community jams sessions, clinics and plenty of prize giveaways.

So join us this Australia Day at the Western Foreshore from 2PM to 7PM to Reflect, Respect, Celebrate as ‘we’re all part of the story’. Info at


The Great Australia Day Flotilla

This event is a celebration of Australia and all the things we love about it like enjoying the day out on the water, having a BBQ, and of course dressing the boats to celebrate everything Australian. If you want to be a part of this iconic event then dress up your boat, gather outside the estuary and proceed through the waterways of Mandurah as part of the boating parade!


If you don’t have a boat, you don’t need to miss out. Set up along one of Mandurah’s foreshores overlooking the estuary, kick back, and enjoy! Starts from 10AM to 12PM at the Eastern Foreshore. Info at


Australia Day Citizenship and Awards Ceremony

The annual citizenship ceremony and presentation of Citizen of the Year awards will be held in the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre. Members of the public are encouraged to celebrate this tradition with a live stream on the big screen and a range of activities held in Mandjar Square. Starts at 8.30AM to 12 noon. Info at


Mandurah Celebrates Australia Day

Continuing the celebrations into the afternoon, a day of family friendly activities is planned along the Eastern foreshore including live music on the Celebrate Stage featuring acoustic local artists, a line-up of bands in the Mandurah Ocean Marina playing all afternoon, family friendly activities, outdoor movies and much more!


Don’t miss the chance to join in on the creation of a mass participation, one-time-only sand mandala that will be created throughout the day to bring together the theme of Australia Day “Reflect. Respect. Celebrate. We’re all part of the story”.
