Girls in Science Forum

L’Oréal Australia in partnership with Curtin University and Telethon Kids Institute invites you to attend the first Perth-based Girls in Science forum, hosted at Curtin University on 3rd April 2019.

Join the Australia and New Zealand L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in ScienceFellows, five inspiring early-career researchers chosen for their outstanding achievements in their fields. The students will have an opportunity to hear from the Fellows, including their scientific interests and the discoveries they have made. Each scientist will give a short, engaging presentation followed by a Q&A session.

The event consists of three parts:

  • Presentation, Panel Discussion and Q&A with the five L’Oreal Fellows
  • Lunch provided
  • Breakout small group demonstrations by Curtin and Telethon Kids Institute researchers

It’s a free event, for girls aged 14 to 17 (Year 9-12). It looks to connect young girls with a passion for science and provide them with the opportunity to hear about the Fellows’ research and experience as scientists, as well as discuss the potential for future study and careers in science.
