Breakfast with Ita Buttrose
Next year marks the 60th Anniversary of the Australian of the Year Awards and we are thrilled to present our first event in the Inspiring Australians’ Series – Celebrating 60 Years, featuring 2013 Australian of the Year Ms Ita Buttrose, AC OBE.
The inimitable Ita Buttrose has a story or two to tell and, as one of a handful of globally recognised, Australian female role models, health and ageing advocates, media trailblazer she is also one of our most celebrated Australian of the Year recipients. Many who have heard her speak are the first to line up and hear from her again.
After a trailblazing journalism, media and business career, at 77 Ita Buttrose is still a force to be reckoned with. Now Chair of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, she balances this high-profile position with several charitable roles including National Ambassador of Dementia Australia, Patron of the Macular Disease Foundation, Emeritus Director Arthritis Australia and Ambassador for Breast Cancer Network Australia.
This event is proudly supported by Bethanie, Western Australia’s leading aged care provider for seniors seeking to live well and retire into a welcoming and engaging community.
